Flamingo pun intended.

Most solopreneurs skip this whole “business values” thing—and, ironically, it does feel a little corporate. But here’s the thing: just because I throw around the occasional cuss word and my logo has a flamingo in it doesn’t mean I don’t take this work seriously. Values aren’t just for the big guys. I believe they’re the compass that keeps things aligned. They help me check in, course-correct, and show up with integrity. Whether I’m organizing chaos, setting boundaries, or navigating tricky conversations, these values are what I come back to every time.

Listen, I know my audience—and I know exactly who I’m talking to. You’re the business owner with a few too many sticky notes on your monitor. The coffee rings from last week are looking permanently etched into your desk. Your brain is buzzing with big ideas and zero space to slow down.

You’re buttoned up in front of clients and probably losing your sh*t behind the scenes. Imposter syndrome? Not with me. I see you. The real you. The sweary, up-at-3-a.m.-with-a-new-business-strat you.

These values also serve as a bit of a vibe-check for you, my dear potential (and possibly even my dear current) clients. If you’re picking up what I’m putting down—we’re probably going to get along just fine.

They’re not corporate jargon or motivational poster quotes. This is how I work, how I show up, and how I make sure you get the support you actually need.

what i stand for

here for the long haul

I’m here to build sustainable systems, strong working relationships, and real momentum. While I do take on the occasional short-term project, my best work—and my best energy—comes from partnering with clients who are in it for more than just a moment. I’m committed to the long game and believe that consistency creates clarity, trust, and results you can actually build on.

quality over quantity

As a one-woman show, I don’t aim to collect clients like Pokémon cards (although I do love Pokémon). I keep my client roster intentionally small so I can show up fully for the people I work with. That means deeper support, stronger outcomes, and no chasing the clock. It’s not about how many hours we log—it’s about the impact we create. Thoughtful work takes time and space, and I’m here to deliver exactly that.

win/win

The best working relationships are rooted in mutual respect, clear communication, and shared wins. One of my earliest clients instilled this value in me during our first few months together—through a lot of open conversations, boundary-setting, and figuring out how to work well as a team. It stuck. I believe in building partnerships where we both walk away feeling good—about the work, the energy, and the outcome. Win/win, always.

work hard, log off harder

I didn’t start this business to chain myself to a desk—and I don’t expect my clients to either. I believe in working hard and resting with intention. That means I might not always be at my computer, but I do my best to respond in a timely, thoughtful way. I split my time between Canada and the US, and yes—I bring my laptop everywhere (because let’s be honest, business ownership doesn’t exactly come with an off switch). Still, I’m aggressive about balance. Some seasons demand more hustle, others call for more space—and I build my business to honour both.

normal sucks

You won’t find cookie-cutter vibes or corporate blah-blah around here. I believe business works best when you can show up as your full, authentic self—quirks, humour, sweats and all. You can be serious without being stiff. You can be strategic and still wear fuzzy slippers. You can be successful without watering yourself down. Around here, we do things the flamingo way: we stand tall, show our true colours, and unapologetically take up space. We find the joy, make space for fun, and get sh*t done while doing it. Because what’s the point if you’re not allowed to be you?

resourcefulaf

I don’t pretend to know everything—even if I do know a little about a lot. I’m multifaceted, endlessly curious, and pretty damn good at figuring things out. I can learn fast, pivot smart, and find solutions in places most people wouldn’t think to look. But let’s be clear: I can do anything—I just can’t do it all. And I won’t fake it to make it. If something’s outside my scope, I’ll either figure it out, find someone who can, or tell you straight-up. Resourcefulness isn’t about doing it solo—it’s about knowing how to get it done well.
